Kid Icarus - 8.5/10

+Gorgeous visuals
+Innovative, fast-paced, addictive gameplay
+Great voice acting and music
+Intense moments and fun multiplayer
+Lots of unlockables
-Gets a tad repetitive
-Slightly short and a bit too linear



Rayman 3D - 7/10

+Solid port
+Looks nice with 3D
-Poor graphics
-Feels a tad dated


LOZ Ocarina of Time - 9.5/10

+Excellent reboot
+Beautiful visual upgrade that remains true to the style
+Looks terrific with 3D
+Good controls
-Cant really manouvre camera without circle pad extension



Mariokart 7 - 9.2/10

+Best mariokart game to date
+Lots of new content and brand new innovative ideas
+Nice visuals and excellent multiplayer
-One glitch that can lets you cheat easily on one map (will be fixed in next patch)



Resident Evil: The Mercenaries - 6.5/10

+Showcase of how powerful the 3DS is
+Stunning visuals (at the time)
+Multiplayer is enjoyable
-Its stripped down Resident Evil 5

WORMS (9.0/10) [PSN]

Epic as fuck.

I'd highly recommend it to anyone.

Though, it does suck that there's no-one playing online (On PSN), otherwise this could've been a 10 out of 10.

I don't like Worms on consoles. I loved Worms 2 and Worms World Party on PC though.

It's actually pretty cheap. Plus, once you get used to using controllers, you'll be fucking addicted to it as hell.

Though, 3D Worms is just gay :/

Oh I know it's cheap. I own it on Xbox 360. Yeah, 3D Worms is just eh.

JAK II: RENEGADE [The Jak & Daxter Trilogy]

Man, great game.

So far, I've noticed not only how big of a leap it is from the first game, but also how unfair the game can be.

Though, it can get really cheap due to the shitty checkpoint system.

Scene It! Movie Night [demo] — 8.0

Fun movie trivia game with a nice selection of question types. For $9.99 I'm seriously considering buying this.

+A fair bit of choice in the game
+Fun puzzles and action sequences

-Locale illustrations are reused
-Annoying ads in the first volume, but later volumes which you can purchase are ad-free.

I don't usually find myself hooked on text-based games but I do love mysteries and this is a very good one. I'm on Volume 5 right now and the story has really built up well, referencing older cases from earlier volumes and whatnot.

Minecraft (360)

I didn't expect much from it, knowing that it is a port from the PC. But it is really addicting.

The splitscreen is the best part about it. Barely any games still have it.

Yeah, is implementing split-screen really that difficult? It's especially bothersome on PS3, because the blockbuster games on 360 all have split-screen (shooters at least).

Most PS3 titles have implemented split screen actually. Almost all of them is featuring them now even the most graphically demanding ones such as Uncharted and Killzone.

Yeah but it took long enough. And if I remember correctly, Killzone and Uncharted have shit split screen like Call of Duty.

Voltron: Defender of the Universe [demo] (PS3) — 6.0
This game is okay, nothing special. It's your basic isometric shooter with exploration, but the enemies are bland, objectives are repetitive, and the characters are all the same.

Real Steel [demo] (PS3) — 6.5
It's a watered-down Fight Night with robots, but that's not necessarily a bad thing because Fight Night is the pinnacle of boxing games. This game is fun but not outstanding like its obvious influence.

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair [demo] (PS3) — 4.5
Really not a fan of this game. The camera sucks and the combat sucks. It's really just a shell of what the Castlevania series has come to be.

Galaga Legions DX [demo] (PS3) — 7.0
It's not as good as some of the other frenetic shooters out there like Space Invaders: Infinity Gene. This one is good. It's bright and colorful, but it's no Geometry Wars.

Time Machine: Rogue Pilot [demo] (PS3) — 6.5
I don't even know how to play, but what I do know is that you can mash X and win which is exactly what I did. Some puzzle game, huh?

Sideways: New York [demo] (PS3) — 8.5
Really creative ideas behind this platformer. I love the visuals and how the perspective shifts. Just really cool.

Sonic CD [demo] (PS3) — 7.5
Not the best Sonic game, as I'm still more partial to Sonic & Knuckles as well as Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but this is still a very solid Sonic game. I wish the demo was longer though.

Trine 2 [demo] (PS3) — 9.0
Really great game. I might actually end up buying this. The visuals are really nice, especially the lighting, and the actual set and characters design is wacky and weird. The platforminf could be a little better because it has a weighty feel to it, but I love how you have to rotate classes to solve different puzzles, and I love the abilities each one has (especially the wizard). The only problem is that it can get hectic in the middle of combat since the knight class is the only one worth using in battles. These are minor gripes (especially since when a character dies, they just need to recharge their health) to what is overall a very fun, creative, intuitive, and unique puzzle-platformer.

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventures (Wii) — 3 out of 5
It's a game for kids, no doubt about that, but it's really not half-bad. The use of the action figures to drop in and out is pretty cool although I can see it being expensive. It's lame that even after you've purchased the game, you have to buy more characters, so I don't like the business model Activision is using, but the concept itself is cool.

Mass Effect 2 10/10 It's fucking ME2, enough said.

Need for Speed - The Run

Some of you might be a little surprised by this but... it's not bad at all. Not really getting all the bad reviews it got. It's fun, handles well, looks damn good(!) and has a really cool concept. Race from San Fran to New York. Pass a certain amount of cars, battle rivals, escape cops or the mob, time attacks, etc. The variety is pretty good. The environments are amazing. Sounds are damn good. Controls so much better than NFS Shit 2: Unleashed (yes, Shit). At it's current price, I think it's definitely worth picking up. I might make a more in depth review on video and post it up on YouTube once I finish the game and try out the online modes (if it's still alive).
