| After re-thinking this through and through, while also watching more stuff, I'd have to say:
1. Alfred Hitchcock 2. Martin Scorsese 3. Stanley Kubrick 4. Christopher Nolan 5. Francis Ford Coppola
I'll have to think of the rest of the list, and then update it later in the future :king:

| Those are your favorite directors? My list would go a little something like this (along with their best film): 01. Martin Scorsese ( Taxi Driver, 1976) 02. Stanley Kubrick ( 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1968) 03. Ingmar Bergman ( The Seventh Seal, 1957) 04. Alfred Hitchcock ( Vertigo, 1958) 05. Terrence Malick ( The Tree of Life, 2011) 06. Francis Ford Coppola ( Apocalypse Now, 1979) 07. Coen brothers ( The Big Lebowski, 1998) 08. Roman Polanski ( Chinatown, 1974) 09. John Huston ( The Maltese Falcon, 1941) 10. Quentin Tarantino ( Pulp Fiction, 1994) - Mecha wrote:

At least the film is still around. Sadly, ninety percent of silent films are not lost, as well as fifty percent of sound films released before 1950. That's a huge chunk of history. If I'm ever moderately wealthy, I wanna either start up a film preservation foundation or support one already in existence.

| Yeah, it's some of them. Though, I still have to think the rest through, as I can't seem to remember that many directors right now  BTW, Full Metal Jacket is greater than 2001: A Space Oddysee, and GoodFellas is also greater than Taxi Driver. ... | |

| Actually, Zack Snyder isn't that bad of a director; he's just got a mediocre track-record. But, as a visual filmmaker, he's one of the greatest of our time. I'm not saying he's brilliant, but he does a great job as a visual director, nonetheless. | |

| Zack Snyder is underrated. Sure he did Sucker Punch, but that's because he attempted to write the script himself. As for Man of Steel, even if you didn't like film, it's writer that you should mostly blame. Still, I didn't think the script is as bad as you guys make it out to be, but that's just my opinion. | |
