| @RamboOnRedBull But that's what Kevin Feige basically said though. Much like how Captain America: The Winter Solider was a political thriller, and Ant-Man a heist film, Marvel's Spider-Man reboot will be a John Hughes-inspired movie. | |

I'm aware of what he said, but there's a big difference between inspiration and being "Just like it". Ferris Bueller can never be replicated in a Spidey movie because the events and scenes only happen due to Buellers' personality. Bueller is the entire opposite of Peter, and thus can never have a film that's like Ferris Bueller. That said, I'm excited to see what they do with it, because there are obvious ways of where they can take their inspirations. Especially from Breakfast Club (even more so than Day Off) Also, Ant-Man isn't really a heist film. It's a typical superhero movie with Heist elements to it.

| Probably my John Hughes film would have to be Planes, Trains & Automobiles. I've been meaning to pick that up on Blu-ray for ages. | |

| Fantastic Four (2015) 4/10
You know those fan made short films like Mortal Kombat: Rebirth and that rated-R Power Rangers that came out awhile back? Well that is what this version of the Fantastic Four basically felt like. It felt like an hour and thirty minute fan made short film. Only this movie had a bigger budget, obviously. They should have just called this movie Fantastic Four: Prologue. Because this movie just felt so incomplete and they become the Fantastic Four until the VERY end. I know this is an origin story, but it's not very well done. They spend 40 minutes of them being kids, they get their powers, a year has passed, the government are looking for Reed, they fight Doom, and THAT'S IT! That's basically the whole movie for the most part. It's like an origin story that is basically skipping through the origins of the characters, and just going straight to the Fantastic Four from the comics. Then it just ends. This film just so uneven. This may not be the worst comic book movie ever, but 2005's Fantastic Four was at least a lot more consistent and felt more like an actual FANTASTIC FOUR movie. This reboot on the other hand, just has an identity crisis. Also Doom got raped... AGAIN! Nuff said.

| Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F (2015)
Fun film. It's Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z is what we got. Though I would have liked it to be a bit longer and Vegeta should have gotten more to do. The ending feels convenient as well. Still overall a fun film.

| Fantastic Four (2015)
I don't really know what to say that hasn't been said by pretty much 95% of every reviewer. So I'll just say this: I didn't hate it. It had some nice moments and the first act was pretty solid. The 3rd act is terrible though. It just comes from out of nowhere. Just when you think "oh this is the second act" nope. It's actually the final act of the film. So there's no second act. No middle. It just jumps from act 1 to act 3. There's literally no development, there's no rhythm to the film. It's just a disjointed mess that doesn't know what to be. Also it feels like they cut down nearly an hour from the film.

| I would go as far as to say that Fantastic Four (2015) is worse than Batman & Robin, Fantastic Four (2005), Green Lantern. It's better than Catwomen and Superman IV: The Quest For Peace though.......... yeah. | |

While Batman & Robin is funny bad it's still really bad all throughout the film. At least with F4 (2015) the first half is solid and has some really good moments. Haven't seen the old F4 films in a long time so I can compare them. It's on par with Green Lantern for me. I liked some elements in GL and F4 (2015).

| @yonny616 The first half (which is 60%) of Fantastic Four (2015) is OKAY. It's not that great. I mean, it's still had some pretty stupid moments in the first half. I could almost see why Fox got cold feet from it. As for the other bad superhero movies, Batman & Robin at least was intended to be a campy comedy. Green Lantern on the other hand was bad because of the script. It didn't felt like a half-assed mess like Fantastic Four (2015) did. | |

Solid, okay, same difference. But it was still solid. I don't see it. It had a solid start and could have likely managed to get this film in the MoS range critically. It was still bad. Again, still bad with few solid moments. You're right, it was a whole-assed mess.

| @yonny616 I just feel like some people are giving the first-half a little too much credit. I mean, come on. Victor comes off as a cliche asshole who is just jealous of Reed being with Sue. The team goes into another planet all because they are drunk? What? Also Reed and Sue's getting their powers don't make sense, unless I'm missing something? And just a bunch of other shit too. Again, the first-half is decent for a sci-fi drama. But for a Fantastic Four movie, it's boring. For a second, I almost forgot I was watching a Fantastic Four movie. | |

Nope. A lot of people say it's solid. That's it. That's the right amount of credit. Victor is one dimensional. They were upset and drunk. Upset drunk people are prone to doing stupid shit. I agree with how Reed got his powers, but Sue's made sense. I found the first half interesting. See, even you agree it's solid. Then Fantastic Four origins would be pretty boring since it'd be sci-fi drama anyway.

| @yonny616 Yes, I understand that people get upset and drunk. But for a group of scientists that are able to transport into another universe, they sure made a pretty stupid mistake. Fantastic Four is suppose to be light and fun, and focus on being a family. But this fails to capture the family element. How they become the Fantastic Four takes way too long to the point where the movie has no second act. | |

Yes, just like drunk people make stupid mistakes. I agree. I feel like the second, if it had one, should have been about the four bonding due to these radical changes. Sadly that doesn't happen.

| @yonny616 Sorry, but even I don't make many stupid mistakes when I drink. And I didn't exactly do all that great (or bad) in science class. :/ Probably the most stupidest thing I ever did while being drunk was falling down some stairs or ending up in the girl's restroom. But I digress. Being a family of mutated heroes should have been the focus of the movie. | |

Being a family of mutated heroes should have been the focus of the movie. Have you ever heard the saying "there's different kinds of drunks"? Also ending up in the girls restroom is pretty stupid, don't try downplaying that. Yeah, and they should have bonded because of that mutation.

| @yonny616 Gotta say though. The girls restroom is kinda different than the boys restroom. And cleaner too. I mean, eventually they end up bonding. But by the time they do that, it's already too late. | |
