How do you cope with the 3DS when it's battery life is the same as the Vita?

I turn 3D off and at least can rest easy knowing I have games to play in those few hours (or I can play Pokemon which barely drains the battery....).

So what happened to all the great potential of playing in 3D?

Because I don't always play plugged into the mains? Sometimes I play when I'm out... and kind of want to preserve the battery? lol but nice attempt at quote mining.
