If it's a ps3 port you guys better be excited, it's a fantastic game, if a bit repetitive
If it does come to ps3, I recommend taking time with it because it can be completed fast, so explore a lot and collect everything you can and find easter eggs to make the most of your experience. =]
and the graphics aren't half bad! watch this in 720P:

Damn im excited. I have mixed feelings for the ps3 port rumor. I mean ps3 players should be able to enjoy such an amazing game but dammit the 360 haz no geams for 2011 they can't lose another one. >_<

I hope they explain what the fuck was up with the ending.
Also, Remedy's new animation tool won't come close to the hard work and technique employed by Team Bondi.

Remedy said that they wanted future Alan Wake titles to stay exclusive to the 360 or atleast 360/PC. Kind of like how the Gears of War series is being published by Microsoft, I think Remedy are with Microsoft for a long term.

Doesn't have to be shitty. Would have preferred Alan Wake 2 as well though.

You can also dream can't you :?: Besides, AW diden't sell that much neither, i mean, like what, 1 million copies in a YEAR!? It's pure stupidity to make it XBOX only, that's for sure.

Just the idea of the ps3 finally getting a quality title from the holy 360 makes you jizz doesn't it.
Nah just playing but 1 million on 1 platform is highly impressive knowing that it got overshadowed by RDR. Its way easier to make a next alan wake title now and with already the lack of 360 exclusives alan wake would get more praised. But that just my thoughts.

1 million copies was quite good for a new IP that launched the same day as a Rockstar game from a developer which had yet to release a game for the current generation consoles.

Well, THAT way it is. But it wasen't "overshadowed" from Red Dead Redemption for an entire year, was it? Besides, there's already been quite few rumours about a ps3 port.

That doesn't make sense. Its the launch day when the sales matter the most. It got overshadowed by RDR by its launch and alot of weeks after. Then other games come out and alan wake will be forgotten. Im actually surprised that alan wake manages to sell so great. Seriously alan wake has become a semi-popular 360 IP and it would be retarded to give that status up by making it the 1000th multiplat coming out this or next year.

6 Years in development, Crowded by 360 fans to be Uncharted 2.0, 6 years of PURE hype. It was "overshadowed" by Red Dead Redemption? After waiting 6 YEARS for a game, you aren't going to just drop it and buy a different one instead, are you? You can admit it or not, i don't care really. But you've got to be able to realize with 6 years of waiting, yet, you still manage to only sell one million, in like what, 1 year?

6 YEARS PEOPLE, 6 YEARS, AND DON'T FORGET, 6 YEARS! With a development staff of 40 people...Besides, this isn't GT5, NO ONE was waiting 6 years for the game, people found out about it like a year before it came out.

Yeah, I hadn't heard of Alan Wake until 2009 and didn't even become interested until it actually came out.

5 years to be precise since it was announced at E3 2005 and released in May 2010. The game was quiet for a very long time and I honestly do not recall anyone hyping it up to be Uncharted 2. If there were any comparions drawn between Alan Wake and a PS3 exclusive, it was Heavy Rain (which was a stupid comparison in itself since they are completely different experiences). And it was indeed extremely overshadowed by Red Dead Redemption. You have to understand that Rockstar games have a much wider appeal than a Microsoft published title which is considered "hardcore". All Rockstar had to do was slap on "From the creators of Grand Theft Auto" onto every Red Dead Redemption advertisement and they probably have a million sales right there. But as PS3 fans say, "sales don't matter".

It never had that much hype behind it in the first place. I literally only heard of the game like the E3 before it released. Jesus you are acting as if the game is GT5 or something. For alot of it's development time alot of people thought Alan Wake was just vapor-ware. And how the fuck is it not realistic to think that a ROCKSTAR game would overshadow a game made by a smaller developer? Nearly any game series would have had a hard time competing with RDR and that's the truth. And now you are acting as if the game itself was a complete let down because of sales. I don't even fucking know why every Xbox fanboy makes comparisons to Uncharted 2 when it really wasn't all that ground-breaking. I guess they just go by what they hear from PS fanboys. Fact is, both games have their flaws but atleast AW felt like a fresh break from alot of other games. I didn't feel overwhelmingly disappointed with AW like I did with UC2. Idk, maybe it's because I actually read the reviews for AW and knew what I was in for. For example, before I got AW I knew that it had lip-syncing problems. Every fucker that reviewed UC2 hardly mentioned any flaws and made the game sound like a ground-breaking title.
BTW. Who the hell deleted like half the posts in this thread? It never went off-topic. It was still about AW but people went and started discussing Alan Wake's graphics. Jesus as long as it isn't off-topic then posts shouldn't be just randomly deleted from the thread.
