PlayStation 4 or Xbox One

For some reason, I haven't seen a topic like this in the debate section, so I will start.

Which console is the better one? Are you getting either one of the two? Both?

The Xbox One launch line-up is just flat. Forza 5 is Forza. Ryse just looks too repetitive, even for a hack 'n slash, and Killer Instinct is bloody Killer Instinct, so the main fighting mechanic is good, but the content is... erm:

PS4. Cheaper, more advanced, slim design, and Uncharted 4. Nuff said.

I'm probably going to get mine in the summer Noel. We can be double quadruplez together but not for a while.

Xbox One - Better games

I can't say which one is better but I'll probably end up getting a PS4 at some point down the line. Maybe a year from now.

Don't see the point in this thread. You know everyone will say PS4 except me and Canai Spy.

But fact is, already Xbox One has more exclusives available and more in the pipeline. Plus looking at Sony's severe lack of Vita support.. I'm sure they need a massive kick up the backside before the PS4 will be half decent.

At the moment neither interest me but I would like to play Forza 5 and Ryse :O

By the way, PS4 is coming out with more games in 2014 than the Xbox One. Fact.

As of right now it has more quality games. A number of those are multiplats, the rest will be ported to Xbox One probably, and then the only exclusives you are left with are Killzone and Knack. Bravo.

The only quality exclusives Xbox One got is Forza Motorsport 5 and Dead Rising 3. So having a lot of crappy exclusives isn't something to really brag about.

PS4

- $100 less

- more upcoming games that I'm interested in

- They're not jamming a peripheral I don't want down my throat

- With the exception of Online Multiplayer, Key features of the console aren't trapped behind a yearly subscription fee.

PS4 down the line because I'm already pretty invested into the PlayStation ecosystem. Right now both systems aren't really all that appealing in terms of games and incomplete system software features.

I may get an Xbox One as well if Epic Games (not People Can Fuck Up) make a next gen Gears of War game.

Exclusives mean nothing if they're all shit. Forza 5 is just a port of Forza 4. Ryse is terrible. Dead Rising 3, don't make me laugh. Also what does Sony's lack of Vita support have to do with anything? They did a shit job of providing the PSP with good games, did better with the Vita but ultimately, those are their handhelds, not their consoles (and even then, Sony is winning the handheld front in terms of quality, without even trying). They managed to kick the 360's ass in quality with the PS3 and kick the Xbox's ass in quality with the PS2. Why would the PS4 be any different? Oh yeah, it wouldn't.

In the long run, the PS4 will eventually have more games I would be interested in and I'm taking about games not made by most AAA and AA developers.

I got my PS4 midnight on launch day in the UK. I didn't trust Tesco's enough not to sell my pre-order incase I wasn't there at that time.

That's happened to me before with game preorders. Obviously not down to the minute, but if I came like a day late, they'd have sold my copy along with any preorder bonuses.

Some pre-orders are a lottery. Pay in advance to have a chance of getting it early.
