Post any time a video game has changed you. Preferrably no spoilers.
When I played Chrono Trigger for the first time, I had the option of naming Chrono. I decided not to name him "Chrono" and just named him Marvin. After me.
Before I played Chrono Trigger, I always hated my name. In elementary kids would call me Marvin the Martian. In middle school I was called Starvin Marvin and my least favorite Marvin Gaye.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
It fucking sucked.
However, when I tried Chrono Trigger and named him "Marvin" instead of "Chrono", magic happened. I loved it when the other characters in the game would say my name without laughing or snickering.
It felt good. Like when Marle calls out your name after you first face Lavos. Or when Robo defends you when Magus insults you.
Chrono Trigger actually made me feel better about my name. It doesn't bother me anymore when I get made fun because of my name. Sometimes when people ask me what's my race(it's kinda hard to tell) I tell them I'm martian.
Share your stories pl0x.

The kid put emphasis on the Gaye. Repeating it and all. Everyone would snicker and giggle and just made me hate the entire world.
Sick fucks.
Also really? I'm the only one. No one else has a story?
