Skyrim will be better than Dragon Age 2

Why?
Because it's fooking Bethesda.
Oblivion slaughtered Dragon Age.
Skyrim will follow suit.
Why?

-Dragon Age is too linear
-Dragon Age has combat best suited for pc games
-Dragon Age has only one style of gameplay really

Simple as.

too bad ME3 will kill em both

How is Dragon Age too linear? i remember being able to go where i wanted, and do missions in whatever order i wanted, sure it wasn't open world but it was definitely not "too linear".

And seriously, your always complaining about linear games lol why??? :x

This. There is nothing wrong with linear titles. Some of the greatest games of all time are linear.

I remember wanting to enter a building and couldn't.
I remember I wanted to explore an entire city but was restricted to one or two fairly small areas.
I remember wanting to go back to a place but couldn't.
I remember after completing the game I couldn't leave the campsite without downloading dlc.

I think that's called linear.
Also it all feels so confined and restrictive. In one area you can't even walk over a puddle. You actually have to walk around it.

I got nothing wrong with linear games as one of my new favourite titles is Crash Of The Titans. And one of my all time favourite games is Yoshi's Island.
But I just think that in this day and age, an rpg like that should be completely open ended. There are no reasons why it shouldn't be. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Dragon Age thoroughly but since completion, apart from to create a new character, I've not touched it. I have no reason to go back to it. Oblivion, on the other hand, which I completed well before Dragon Age, I'm always playing.

You need to add restrictions to a game, other wise the story won't go as its suppose to go
You can't go back to places once you decide who the new king will be, why? cuz your suppose to go to war right after that
What could you do after you beat the game? you won't see any more enemies, are you gonna walk around looking for weapons your not gonna use? but you do have a point

When i think of a linear game i think of games like Uncharted and GOW, cuz you don't really have options to choose from, theres no map to choose where u want to go, theres no karma, no decision making, etc.
Thus why i don't consider DAO "too linear" as you say, there are times when it is linear, but thats just so the story will follow as its suppose to. Some games just wouldn't work as an open wold game, maybe DAO is good as it is.

@ igame, In Oblivion you can enter any building.

I've never played DAO, so I'm not going to weigh in on the arguement, but I'm sure it's good, it's developed by Bioware.

Really? i just assumed it would be like fallout 3, does that mean theres not that many building? or is the game so damn detailed and full of content that it would rape my mind if i were to play it?

And that's also a fail, because Dragon Age feels like half a game. It ends on a cliff hanger so you must buy the second game to find out the ending. Typical... but you do have a point

No DAO is much less linear than other games but the fact is, it's biggest drawbacks are the ways it doesn't offer the things that Oblivion boasted. :/

hehe, I mean I loved Dragon Age, really I did. But it's really not as good as Oblivion.
