- Virtual reality company Oculus VR will partner with film studio 20th Century Foxto deliver movies to Oculus’ VR headsets, the two companies announced on Thursday.
Fox will release more than 100 titles from its library to be viewed in a virtual reality cinema called Oculus Video, includingAlien, Gone Girl, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Taken, The Maze Runner, X-Men: Days of Future Past, 28 Days Later,Die Hard, Predator, Office Space, andBirdman.
The films will be available to view both via Samsung’s Gear VR headset and Oculus’s flagship Rift headset, which will be released in the first quarter of 2016.
“VR cinema is a new way of presenting our movies, and has the opportunity to bring in mass market consumers to virtual reality.
