Your thoughts on this gen so far

Say what you will about fanboys, but the console war made things fun last-gen. Don't know why the fanboyism died down this gen? Then again, last-gen's console war didn't get good until years later.

The Console War, especially on YouTube, has been seemingly dead for years now. Nobody really seems to give a shit about it, anymore. From what I have been seeing, it's mainly just PC vs. Consoles debates, and sometimes Nintendo vs. Everyone Else fanboy wars that have been going on. Most of the entertainment that was provided from the people doing those "trash-talk" videos have moved on in their lives. Now, it's just people complaining over the latest unfinished game or bullshit practice that (Insert Big-Name Publisher Here) have been pulling. That's not to say that all fanboys wars are over. You'll still see the same disgusting fanboy-infested garbage on comment sections around the internet.

Lol, the current leader of Xbox fanboys is a pedophile (Nxtgen720) and one of his biggest supporters was caught stealing gameplay footage from other channels. They usually have these 2 hour Google hangout sessions and they all seem to talk about is PlayStation. They really don't debate outside their own video comment section and sometimes will take pot shots at other people. 7th tried organizing a debate with the same conditions like with everyone else he debated with but they refused.

Well in regards to the games in this gen so far, it's been rather lackluster. The late middle of 2015 and and 2016 look promising though.

I'm so conflicted between PC and PS4. Fucking Overwatch lad, it's really the only reason I want a PC over a PS4.

There is a video floating around. The short of it is

- people freaked out
- Nxtgen720 did a damage control video calming he was asking people on skype on how to flag it
- Chat logs say he didn't

Well, at least some of the games that have been coming recently have been good. Bloodborne and The Witcher 3 are easy GOTY contenders.

This generation blows in terms of games.

There is no console wars because both consoles are basically the same.

The console wars turned into a SJW shitstorm thanks to Anita. The whole things seems at least as big as the console war, though this time it's more newsworthy.

Yeah it's pretty much just Crapgamer and nxt gen on the Xbox side and I don't even know who's on the playstation side...no one relevant I guess. And Crapgamer is just a diehard fanboy who refuses to debate anyone. He's in a little echo chamber. It's quite sad really.

They've all either moved to Gamergate or they've disappeared or they've just begun talking about random gaming stuff.

I'm pretty much starting to give up on western developed games now.

This gen is dead, as there are no games to talk about. 

The only system that I can think of which has games this gen is the Wii-U. But most people don't consider it part of this current-gen, so there's that.

Yeah i mainly just play on my Wii U now. Only really play Mario Kart 8, super good though. You should get it m8.

I wouldn't say this gen is dead. It's only been out for 2 years. Last gen's console war didn't really get good until like 4 or 5 years after it's console releases.

That probably because the games were already in development before or after the Wii U announcement. PS4 and Xbox One were really just shat out soon after their announcement.
