I wouldn't call this a personal attack but I would like to tell you all about this one guy I went to high school. What he did yesterday is the most f**king funniest thing ever.
Yesterday a store called K-mart released their new catalogue for all the new products they are getting instock next week. In the catalogue they had Skyrim advertise for $79. Note that K-mart is one of the few some stores that still uses the fine/small print for release dates either at the front bottom, back bottom or at the bottom in one middle page instead of having the release dates next to the product. Rohan thought that K-mart broke the street date for Skyrim release the game 7 days early. He called the closest K-mart to confirm if they really had the game and whoever he was talking said yes.
Rohan doesn't have a drivers license and the closet K-mart from where he lives is a 20min drive away. There are many theories about how he got to K-mart. One theory that he took the bus down which would have taken about 40mins to an hour. My theory is that he got his mum to drive him down and made her do laps around the store until he got Skyrim.
When he got there he learnt that K-mart haven't put the game on shelves yet. When he asked whoever was standing behind the counter in the entertainment department if they have the game and pointed out that page in the catalogue. The checkout person said no and told him to read the fine print at the bottom of that page. Rohans blood boiled because he couldn't get Skyrim 7 days early and yelled at the poor person for about 10-15mins, left in rage with a small teardrop coming out of his eye.
When he got home... Oh the theory for that one is his mum got hungry and went to maccas so he had to walk home in same pair of shoes he been wearing since high school. He post a status on his facebook page *see below* but he also posted a rant on the local Gametraders store facebook page. In response, A few followers told Rohan that he is f**king stupid to believed that that K-mart was selling Skyrim 7 days before the release date and that status got deleted.
For those who don't know what Gametraders is. Gametraders is a Australian found and own video game retailer which is still quite small compared to EBgames/GameStop and GAME. What makes them famous because they have a record of breaking the street dates by importing european/US copies of games since there have been cases where US and Europe got new games one week to a month plus before Australia did. Most famous one is when Gametraders broke the street date and started selling Zelda: Ocarina of Time *Go look it up on Kotaku*.
Many believed he posted that rant on Gametraders facebook page in hope that they would start selling Skyrim which they didn't. Rohan asked why they deleted his status and I came into the spotlight and said "The last thing anyone wants to hear is some dude crying over a video game". That one got me 48 Likes, YAY ME.
To end this. Rohan has to wait till the 11th Nov to get his copy of Skyrim. If K-mart really did started selling Skyrim 7 days early... it would have been on Kotaku that morning. Hope you all enjoyed reading
