Views on firearms?

I recently had a discussion with my brother and dad about the possibilty of a zombie apocalypse. I asked my dad what our plan was. He said, " I dunno."

This worries me as I'm one of those people who thinks zombies are possible. So I'm considering buying a gun...just in case. But I'm thinking if this is right or not. Tons of people die because of firearms. Japan, which outlawed firearms(except for the police), has about 2-4 deaths a year from firearms. Compare that to America's. So what are your opinions on people owning firearms? Also please don't focus on my belief of zombies. This thread is about Gun Violence.

We need firearms. It was the second amendment for a reason. To protect ourselves from a corrupt government or terrorist attack. Government wants it taken away because when they turn the USA into a totalitarian system, they don't want armed slaves.

I don't give a fuck if they are legal or not, I will still own one.

This is my plan for zombies or really anything that tries to enter my house uninvited, it's in my drawer right now.

But to make my post less troll-y: I support guns being legal. Self-defense is important.

Where you can have a combination to lock it and keep children away. Robbers won't be able to steal any. Also makes it easy to hide grenades. Another easy way to keep government officials away.

This quote may be overused, but it's still true. Guns should be legal provided the owner obtains a permit and experiences a thorough background check as well as a mental health evaluation. I also think you should be legally obligated to keep it locked away (I'm not sure if that's a law now or not) and if a child uses it and hurts themselves, the gun owner should be responsible.

Actually I was watching a documentary from NationalGeographic and what people think happens when you die. They were talking about bringing cells back to life and my dad said Zombies are going to take over since this was basically the plot for the first Resident Evil movie. I think.

Also I read that Cracked article a long time ago.

Lol, I don't have any permits or shit. My dad gave it too me, my grandpa taught me how to shoot it. I will be getting a concealed carry permit pretty soon though.

Back on the real topic... Firearm's will never go away, legal or otherwise. If firearms go illegal, there will be fucking riots.

That's not how I took it, I think he was saying if they take that away, what's to stop them from taking freedom of speech away as well? It could turn in to one big cycle.
