PC gaming isn't dying. It's slowing down. When arcade games got ported over to the Nintendo and SEGA systems they were inferior in every single way but yet people still bought them and played because they like the idea of having arcade games on a home console and not popping in more money if you wanted to continue playing... Unless you have very rich parents that can afford to buy a NeoGeo. What I'm trying to say is... looks what left with arcade games.
In the other hand I could say that Console gaming is dying. Where are those games we played last gen? How come we don't see any more Megaman X, Fire Emblem, Zone of the Enders, Jak and Daxter, Shin Megami Tensei, Xenogears, Devil May Cry, Shinobi, Sly etc. How come we don't see any of those games or something samilar. JRPGs are going downhill. Good hack and slash games rarely appear. All I can see is grey/brown scale shooters, niche JRPGs with more sexual content than Playboy Magazine and half polished games.
This topic is a matter of indivdual preference.

Ehh, don't really agree. PC gaming is just in a different category vs Console gaming, PC games may be getting dumbed down for console compatibility and the console audience but the PC versions are still superior, doesn't really bother me that much.
Call of Duty says hi.
Console gaming doesn't directly bring down PC gaming. Developers do that. COD4 was the best COD game on PC and that was on consoles too you know?
Yeah, but "Call of Duty" games are starting to be superior on Xbox 360. I know "Call of Duty" was once superior on PC. I knew about "Call of Duty" since last-gen.
Yea my ass. A timed exclusive mappack doesn't make COD better on 360. MW2 was the only terrible PC port in the CoD series. Besides even if it was better on 360 I don't see how CONSOLE gaming is DIRECTLY ruining PC gaming. It's up to the developer's to take advantage of each platform. This "consoles are ruining PC gaming" excuse is almost as bad as the "360 is holding back PS3" bullshit.
I never said consoles are ruining PC gaming. You see how you always put words in my mouth? My point was that not every game is superior on PC. Also "Call of Duty: Black Ops" had more technical problems on PC than the Xbox 360 version.
LMFAO. The last sentence was a response to the thread NOT you.
@Sonji
So you bought more games than a movie buff? Way to go you still pirate like 90% of your PC games.

That doesn't justify the amount of games you pirated. :)

Its not dead yet. There is still alot of games being release exclusive to PC.
I don't know if you can still say that. A lot of the PC's exclusive franchises are moving to consoles. Look at Crysis 2 and Witcher 2. With the exception of RTS, it's only logical for a developer to release on consoles when there is a combined install base of approx 100 million.
I'm sorry for posting this Pyro vid, but it is an exclusive list, and it's accurate (for the most part)
He doesn't even show ALL of the PC exclusives either.
I'll be completely honest with you, the majority of the non-RTS games for the PC list I've never heard of.
Let me be completely honest with you, half the games on that Ps3 list I had never heard of, just because they aren't popular doesn't mean they are automatically bad. I have personally researched almost every game on the PC list and most of them look like quality titles. Popularity =/= Quality.
I never said any of the lesser know titles were bad in any way. The point I'm try to make is that as this industry grows, so does the cost associated with developing these titles. Whether you like it or not, popularity=sales=revenue=profit. These game developers are still businesses and all businesses strive to make profit. If piracy on PC is rampant and people just aren't buying enough, then the logical process is to develop to consoles where there is a proven large install base and piracy is more difficult than PC.

The PC is doing just fine then, PC titles may sale less then there console counterparts but the devs see a larger profit, when a game sells on steam the dev gets a 70% cut vs the 30% cut a dev gets if you buy a console game at walmart. Plenty of people buy and play games on the PC, go look at steams stats, and that's just one PC gaming service.
