- Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just seven months away from its highly-anticipated release, and Suicide Squad just wrapped principal photography. Therefore, Warner Bros. is now readying production on Wonder Woman, which is the fourth movie of the studio's DC Extended Universe. The Patty Jenkins-directed adaptation is scheduled to shoot primarily in London this fall, but new developments have revealed a secondary filming location as well as the director of photography.
According to Meet The Movie Press, Hoyte Van Hoytema will serve as the director of photography on Wonder Woman. The Dutch-Swedish cinematographer is best known for his work on Academy Award-winning films Interstellar, Her, as well as The Fight, and he just recently wrapped on Spectre.
Meanwhile, Askanews is reporting (via Yahoo) that Wonder Woman will eventually shoot scenes in Basilicata, Italy, in addition to the U.K.. The Gal Gadot-starring movie, which is said to take place during World War I, will likely take advantage of Basilicata's unique and ancient stone structures.
Finally, Production Weekly has revealed that Wonder Woman will be known as Nightingale during its production. This could be an indirect reference to the DC supervillain of the same name, aliased Seiji Kato, who first appeared in the "Wonder Woman #317" comic book. Another version of the character also appeared on the '70s Wonder Woman television series portrayed by Joel Fabiana. Or perhaps, the working title is referring to Florence Nightingale, who was the founder of modern nursing among other things during the Crimean War which is when Wonder Woman may occur. Anyhow, directed by Patty Jenkins, the Amazon Princess' solo outing stars Gal Gadot (Diana Prince) and Chris Pine (Steve Trevor), and is scheduled for release on June 23, 2017. What do you think? http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=124633Holy shit! This confirms that Wonder Woman will be a beautiful looking film. | Topic: Official 'ARROW' Discussion Thread | yonny616
