Welp...

Alright, who else has a Wii U?  I was gifted the Legend of Zelda themed one for Xmas.  What are the "must haves" that are out so far?  I'm mostly waiting for X, new Smash Bros and new Mario Kart at this point, plus whatever fun digital titles are out there.

Padders should help you out. He's the only one here who currently owns a Wii U.

Wonderful 101 was actually on sale for 30bux, so I nabbed that. I already have MH3U on the 3DS so I doubt I'll rebuy it unless it's cheap.

Next up will probably be Pikmin 3, the Mario games, and random eShop purchases (NES Remix looks right up my alley)

Also all my Wiimotes are 7 years old and falling the fuck apart. Time to buy new ones!

You should get yourself a pro controller while you're at it. Some games feel weird playing with the pad.

Don't forget about 2014 games like Mario Kart, Smash Bros, new DK Country, and Bayonnetta 2.

Oh and Monolith's new game, X, looks outstanding.

Best part that the USB cable to charge it from the console is a lot longer compared to the ps3 and ps4.

Nabbed Wonderful 101 so far, along with some eShop games (Wind Waker came with it and I bought NES Remix). I need to start picking up new Wiimotes/Pro Controllers. Probably pick up Pikmin 3 sometime, then it's mostly waiting for the big Nintendo games this year.

Has anyone played Monster Hunter 3U on here? Is it worth nabbing for the save transferring, or does it not improve much over the 3DS version?

I just bought a Wii U a few days ago. Though the only games I have are Mario 3D World and Super Mario Bros. U/Lugi U that came with the system. My brother loves Zelda, so he'll eventually get Wind Waker HD, and I'll eventually get Rayman Legends, Mario Kart 8, DKC Tropical Freeze and Smash Bros U. I'll also get a Pro controller so my bro and I can play together.

Wii U version has online servers you can join into. Personally, I use the pro controller but I still use the pad has a keyboard to communicate with other players. I think it is worth picking up. If you do we should play sometime.

Also picked up a Pro controller on sale at Best Buy, and nabbed Nintendoland for party times.

OH!  If you need Wiimotes, Nintendo is selling a pack of refurbished Wiimote Plus and a nunchuck for $20 a pop.  (Link is to the black ones, I think they also have white and blue)  Since normally a Wiimote Plus and a nunchuck is $55 or so, it's a hell of a deal, and I'm willing to give Nintendo a try for refurb products.

No, only the WiiU version. 3DS version is local multiplayer only.
