Welp, it's finally happend...

My PS3 got the yellow light of death. After owning it for so many years. Oh well, it was basically broken anyway. At least this gives me more reasons to buy the PS4, which is right around the corner. Talk about good timing. What a way to end the generation.

The YLOD is actually really easy to fix if you have a screwdriver and a heat gun.

I have the original grill model, but it came with 160GB. I once had the launch model, but that one broke too because I had the power cord to close my bed. So sparks were starting to come out and shit.

lol, my PS3's Blu-ray drive broke like over a year ago. Still haven't watch everything on my Blu-ray collection because of it.

I don't think I've seen any pictures in Blu-Ray in a few months now, lol. I mean, I love the format, but I've found better ways with paid-services, On-Demand, etc.

I'm just waiting for the day when 4K TVs become a standard so those 4k cameras can finally be enjoyed to the fullest, lol.

Well I couldn't try to fix my PS3, due to my HDD being very stuck in the console. Don't know why though? The damn thing should be easy to pull out. Oh well.

It's a different model though. At first I was like, WTF!? Because there was no metal handle to pull it out from. I was so confused for a minute, until I found out that not all models have the metal handle. I don't know why Sony did that? That's so fucking stupid!

Of course it's removable, but for some reason my hard drive is literally stuck to my PS3. Don't know why though? I'm guessing it's because my PS3 is old? So if you gotten the 160GB fat grill model the first day it came out, then you can no longer change the hard drive. Sony dun goofed.

I removed a hard drive out of a PS3 once. I swear to God, this shit is stuck. I've seen other people on YouTube with the same model as mine, taking out the hard drive like it was nothing. I've tried doing the same thing, and I ended up bending one of the metal parts. That's how hard this shit is to pull out.

Also, do you even have to remove it before you can fix it? I don't remember removing mine.

I see other people removing it. I mean, the heat could damage the hard drive no? I might say fuck and try it anyway.

It may be easier to remove if you open up the whole PS3.
