DICE didn't bother testing Frostbite 3 on Wii U due to poor Frostbite 2 results

Andersson confirmed that the DICE-developed Star Wars game would run on Frostbite 3, so that’s out too.

Well...yea...it's a physics heavy engine. The Wii U's weak CPU wouldn't be able to handle it.

Not being a fanboy but I call bullshit on that.

It's the small install base + bad sales. If Frostbite works of 8 year old consoles then it should work on the Wii U.

In some respects, Wii U's hardware is weaker than current gen systems. The CPU is ridiculously weak and that isn't good to work with considering how physics heavy the Frostbite engine is.

Could they get it to work? Probably. They'd have to optimize the hell out of it and dumb down certain things. But no reasonable publisher would invest that much resources to a platform with such a low install base.
