Kratos no contest. Link may have a shitload of fancy items but most of them are mostly based on exploration where as Kratos his pure strength alone matches gods and demi-gods let alone the fact that his items are vastly superior in most cases combat-wise.

Kratos vs Spawn was a BS match. Spawn feeds of the sins of his opponents and last time I remember Kratos skin is the ashes of his biggest sin.

@Tahmdik That doesn't make the match any less BS. They put Kratos, a man with sins that makes Lucifer himself jealous, against a man who feeds off the sins of his opponents to be powerful.

One of the Zelda timelines hinges on Link dying at the hands of Ganondorf. Whereas Kratos can't die, he just comes back from Hades more pissed off.

Some interesting questions I found online:
What stops Link from tanking everything with his uber shield?
Is Kratos evil? If so, the Master Sword would prove disastrous for Kratos in this battle.
While Kratos has a godly sword, Link's Master Sword is essentially god power manifested.
EDIT: I'm making a tourney of this incorporating the Goku vs. Superman thread. There is a poll now. Advancement of contestants will be determined by votes. EDIT 2: This one is pretty much decided so I'm going to move on.
