Supposedly they got rid of the cringey, Emmy esque presentation. No more red carpet, no celebs pretending they love video games etc. It's more personal. Also, Geoff Keighley said it's a full 3 hours of gaming news. No ad breaks. Although that makes sense seeing as it's not on TV.

That's awesome. There's no reason for celebrities to be there unless A) they're in a nominated video game, or B) they genuinely love video games.

I couldn't continue watching it. It was boring as shit. It was like watching a very long pre-show. Might as well just wait later to see who won and what was announced.

Award shows in general are just too long. Something like the VGX, all they need are the award presentations, trailers, and maybe, I dunno, a live orchestral performance of a video game theme. That's it.

It doesn't even feel like an award show. It's just a group of guys in one room making bad jokes. It's like what's the point? If all you want is to see who won and watch new trailers, just go to gaming news websites like IGN or VG247. It would save a lot of time.

It's boring at times but this is still the best one in awhile. This "Music of GTA V" performance is great.

Not really. At least the last VGAs brought lolz.

Wait actually yeah, I vaguely remember the last one being decent. Ah well, I'm just tuning in and out of this year's VGX.

Game and Tyler's performances were the best part about the VGX awards.

That, and the trailers by Titanfall and Destiny. Both of those games looking fucking great.
