Nintendo Turns Down Binding of Isaac on 3DS

Nintendo has refused to release The Binding of Isaac on the 3DS eShop.

Edmund McMillen, the designer of the game and Super Meat Boy, said on Twitter, "After a long internal debate Nintendo has decided NOT to allow the Binding of Isaac on the 3ds."

He went on to clarify why it was blocked by Nintendo in a subsequent tweet: "As many assumed the reasons were due to the games "questionable religious content". Thank GOD Steam exists!"

He went on to praise Valve's digital distribution service Steam: "Just one of many reasons why Steam is the top dog of digital distribution.

I've not seen any footage of this game, only screens. Is it really that good?

So... basically Nintendo turned it down because it's based on a Bible story? After all the fantasy games they release.

And yet they allowed Devil Survivor games to be released on the DS and 3DS. Love their consistency!

Looks like this is going to be released on Sony platforms as well.
