Arcana's Character Review Thread

Ya, I'm gonna be posting reviews of video game characters....mostly fighting game characters but I'll do some others. 1 review a day (I won't do a review everyday)

For my first review....Mai Shiranui from the KOF/Fatal Fury series!!


Mai has got to be one of the hottest babes in video games (2nd to someone that I won't tell you... :silent: ). Her boobs are always bouncing and her outfit looks really sexy. People were like "No Mai, no buy" when KOF XII was released. For some reason, she's not even a main character of the KOF series...
Her moveset is average. She has some originality but I find her moveset a lil boring. But she has 2 amazing moves that could make bosses easy to defeat (Down LK (air) and Down HK (air)).

So in conclusion, she is hawt but her moveset isn't as exciting as her looks.

I updated the review. Its nothing much though.

For my 2nd review, we're gonna take a look at Chun Li from the Street Fighter series (I know, I typed 2 reviews in 1 day but for some reason, I always thought that 1:00 AM is the new day. Sooo yeah).



If there wasn't Chun Li, there would be no Mai, no Morrigan, and no hot DOA gals. She was the female that started the trend of putting female characters in fighting games.
Onto her outfit and looks, her outfit is sexy, just like Mai. Infact, they have such a rivalry on who's the hottest and shit. Here's a video...



As great as her outfit is, I'm not digging the hair. Long hair would've been better...
For her moveset, its all charging and stuff. Hold left or down and hit a button when you move up or right. Its boring sitting there waiting for your enemy to walk up. But her signture move is mashing the kick button so she will do a bunch of kicks. If I'm Chun Li, then I would do that constantly. The whole charging thing is a lil akward...but it works for Chun Li average. :)

Chun Li may be the first female in fighting games but Mai will be the 2ND best female in video games. That doesn't mean Chun Li doesn't kicks ass. She kicks alot of ass!

Yeah, she is an awesome bitch. But the whole charging shit doesn't fit her.

Chun Li gets a 20/5 from me. Because she kicks ass and is freakin hot.

For my 3rd review....Ryu from Street Fighter.



For Ryu's outfit, even though Street Fighter 2 revolutionalize the fighting game genre, his karate outfit has been use in other games in the past. But its great for what it is.
His moveset was one of a kind when SF2 came out. He has his fireball (Hadouken), his dragon punch (Shoryuken) and his spinning kicks (Tatsumaki Senpukyaku). It was sooo kool at the time. There was also a fourth move thrown into SF3. He has become a staple character since 1991.

If he is new to any fighting game, people will be like "YAWN, U IZ SOOO BORINGZ". But back in 1991, he was teh B3AST of fighting games. Sooo many people tried to imitate Ryu and his moves. So next review, I will review 4 CHARACTERS IN ONE REVIEW!!! HOLY SHIAT!!!!!!! (Can't review those 4. Sad, I know. )

Most people who have little skill on Street Fighter tend to choose Ryu since his moves are easy to memorize.

Plan changed, I'm not doing the 4 in 1 because it doesn't feel right.

He looks like Kain from Garou Mark of the Wolves. I would've given him a 4/5 for looks but I cant because I dont fight him. Why couldn't we fight this instead of an alien. -_____-

His moveset is just projectiles and shit. Oh, and the projectiles are FUCKING BULLET HELL!!!! Yeah, I can survive bullet hell games (until the 3rd stage) but in fighting games? WTF!!?!?!?! Good thing he died.

MAGAKI FUCKING SUCKS!! One of the worst KOF bosses of all time.

For my 4th review....Ken from the Street Fighter series...



He may look like a pallet swap but he's not because of the badass hair. Man, the badass hair looks soooo badass. And he has a badass red karate suit thingy. Did I say badass?
His moveset are Ryu's moveset. But he has a dragon punch with fire in SF2. :) And that all he got for the series (Not counting the super moves). Oh, and his super moves are badass.

What a badass.
And he is like one of the easiest characters to master with. So that means alot of noobs play him.

He is just like Ryu but more easy...and the badass hair and super moves.
