But Tom Rothman is the boss. He could easily tell Avi Arad to fuck off. The fact that Rothman is letting it happen makes him equally to blame.
Also the idea of Spider-Man spin-offs is even worse now. Because you have Spider-Man now part of the MCU, not Venom. So they'll be separated, even though Venom is very closely tied to Spider-Man. So does that mean we won't see Venom in the MCU anytime soon? God dammit, Sony! First the Ghostbusters trailer, now this.
