720p isn't bad ON CONSOLE

See this as a follow up to my video which you (probably) didn't watch.

Here's two screenshots I took of Crysis 2. The top one is 1080p, the second one is 720p.

As you can tell when you click full size, there's quite a big difference in size. Of course if you played the 1080p on a screen the same size as the 720p one, they would be indistinguishable from each other.
However if you stretch that 720p screenshot to the 1080p size it would look pretty bad, and indeed it does look bad on my screen.

BUT that is also because that resolution is not optimized well. The game isn't specifically built for that resolution in mind.
A console game on the other hand, which DOES have 720p, generally has upscaling techniques to compensate and makes it look closer to the full HD version.

I agree with this. On consoles, Resolution matters very little I find. But on PC, it can be extremely important sometimes. But as long as a game runs at a good frame rate, I could care less what resolution It runs at.
