Kodi Smit-Mcphee is Nightcrawler in X-Men: Apocalypse

Bryan Singer has announced via Instagram that Kodi Smit-Mcphee has joined the already very impressive cast of X-Men: Apocalypse as a younger version of fan-favourite mutant teleporter, Nightcrawler. The character was last seen in the second X-Men movie played by Alan Cumming, and we all wondered if we'd every see the "Fuzzy Elf" return to the franchise. Smit-Mcphee was most recently seen in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, but his best performance was arguably in the bleak (but brilliant) adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's The Road.

Anyway, sounds like a good decision. Haven't seen much from him and his role in Dawn of Apes was really small, but he looks like he'll be a good fit as Nightcrawler.

The only problem I have with this is that we never see Azazel and Mystique have any kind of relationship in the films. Like you finally had these two characters in a movie together, yet they don't take advantage of it. We're just suppose to assume they fucked in between X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past and that's about it.

Or they can just tell the audience or hint towards it like they did for Quicksilver and Magneto.
