I really don't see the problem with it. It's no different than stuff like GTA or Bulletstorm (which gives points for violent and brutal deaths). I've heard and read stuff about how it's violence porn from places like engadget or heard from boogie that it's okay in those games because there's a context. There's a plot you are following and killing is only the means to an end rather than the goal. But that's fucking stupid. The 9/11 hijackers also had a context. They didn't kill just to kill. Killing was merely a means to the goal.
Rather you agree or disagree with that context is irrelevant, as every instance of violence to solve anything, weather it's the atomic bombings, the rolling thunder campaigned that killed millions of Vietnamese civilians, the extensive bombings campaign over Nazi Germany designed to destroy their food production and infrastructure which directly led to the starvation and death of millions of German civilians (and some would even argue) indirectly contributed to the starvation of the jews (as Nazi's had no food to give them anyways), is argued amongst everyone.
Furthermore anyone who wants this game to be censored or it's distribution banned has just given the video game industry over on a silver platter to all the political and SJW fucks who want to destroy, censor, or control the industry.

The difference between GTA and Hatred is that in GTA, you have a choice. Where as in Hatred, going on a killing spree is the main goal of the game.

No you don't, if you play the game you will kill people, doesn't matter what you do. Do a mission and you kill people, drive somewhere you'll probably run over a few people since no one follows traffic laws in a video game. GTAV opens up with you robbing a bank and killing cops ffs. The whole point of the game is to be a career criminal, even the title of the game is a crime. Everyone who's ever played the game has carjacked or killed someone. Just because there's some context to make you feel better about killing people doesn't mean anything.

It's not the same though. There's a purpose in committing crimes in GTA. Hatred on the other hand is just plain tasteless.

And there was a purpose in the 9/11 hijackers killing 3,000 people. There was a purpose in the United States killing millions of Vietnamese, there was a purpose in European settlers killing 10's of millions of the native peoples of North and South America.

When did GTA ever became that extreme? I'm talking about killing people, you're talking about a massacre. That's like comparing the Mafia to the Taliban. It's silly.

In Skyrim, I went on a rampage and murdered everyone in a few towns because I was bored. This, of course, isn't as bad as HATRED, because my murderous rampage eventually extended to dragons as well.
GTAV really isn't much better. Trevor's rampage missions are literally just him massacring a ton of innocents. Even his main missions border on genocide.

Game looks shit but shouldn't be banned, hopefully a few kids will go on to do a bunch of school shootings all over America and it is discovered they all played this game extensively and all videogames with mature themes hopefully get banned.

Sure you kill people in GTA, but the shock factor is not the same.
The point is, the style of this game is just much more repulsive than GTA.

Your comment is contradictory, awful, and makes absolutely zero sense.

how is it contradictory? I want the game to be not banned so it eventually ends up with a bunch of school shootings all linked to this game and America decides to ban all games with mature themes.

Definitely voting on greenlight just to piss off politically correct butthurts. I fully support their right to make this title and to let their artistic expression out.
Postal Redux is going to shit on this game tho.
UPDATE: Valve removed it from steam, fuckin pussies.

If Netflix can have the Human Centipede 2 on their service I'm sure you can handle a game about killing imaginary people.
Still garbage. Should be banned because it's headed by a Polish neo-nazi, as I mentioned before. Scumbag should blacklisted and anything he makes.
1. There is literally no evidence or reason to claim he's a neo-nazi, the only reason people made that claim was due to one facebook like by Polska Liga Obrony which they publically denounced as a totalitarian ideology. 2. Even if he was a neo-nazi as long as he hasn't committed any felon there is no reason to blacklist him aside from being a thought police.

Which would imply Human Centipede 2 has any value, or absolutely nothing to hate it for just because it's on Netflix.

Gabe Newell apologises for pulling Hatred from Steam Greenlight
Quote :
Hatred has reappeared on Steam Greenlight after having been removed from the service, and now we know why.
Valve’s Gabe Newell has apologised to Hatred developer Destructive Creations for the removal of the game from Steam Greenlight and has subsequently brought it back to the service.
Below is Newell’s statement as seen on Destructive Creations’ Facebook page.
“Hi, Jaroslaw.
“Yesterday I heard that we were taking Hatred down from Greenlight. Since I wasn’t up to speed, I asked around internally to find out why we had done that. It turns out that it wasn’t a good decision, and we’ll be putting Hatred back up. My apologies to you and your team. Steam is about creating tools for content creators and customers.
“Good luck with your game.”
Hatred has generated a lot of controversy following its reveal trailer. The game was put live on Steam Greenlight in an effort to get it published on Steam. Shortly after, it was removed from Steam and has since returned to the service.
