| Nope. Still wouldn't buy ONE. I'll just stick with the superior console, the PS4. | |

I have the feeling that the PS4 could've been the Wii of this (new-er) gen, and you'd still buy it.

| PS4 lets me play crossplay Final Fantasy XIV with PC players. Can Xbox One do that? No, since Xbox Live is a closed system.
Probably around 80% of Xbox One's features aren't available outside the US. It is a system made by Americans, for Americans.

| For normal people, having a games console that plays well with your media center isn't actually a bad thing. Having all your entertainment connected to one input makes the Xbox One feel more next-gen despite it having similar hardware to its competition.
Unlike most people on the internet, I'm keeping an open mind. I'd prefer to keep Kinect even if I'm not currently sold on it. Voice commands work well under the right conditions (quiet environment) and I feel like developers will write some interesting software for the Kinect down the line.
A traditional console like the PS4 isn't a deal breaker by any means. My favorite games tend to be available on both systems so unless it'll come down to perceived value of the hardware in terms of which system I'll go for.

You never played Shadowrun on 360 did you? DERP There have been exceptions in the pass but within certain requirements. The reason why Shadowrun (made by Microsoft Studios) was cross-platform play because both 360 and PC versions uses Games For Windows/Xbox Live servers. Final Fantasy XIV director said that one of the main reasons why FFXIV is not on Xbox 360 and One because Windows/Xbox Live is pretty much a closed system and didn't want to make a separate server just for Xbox users. The Elder Scrolls Online isn't supporting cross-platform play, so that is two versions dead on arrival.

Totally legitimate argument. -re 2nd point. Just cause you label something as fact, doesn't mean it's fucking fact. Here is an important excerpt from your source. One minor correction: It's a Microsoft policy, not a technical issue, that is preventing MMORPG developers from allowing cross-platform play. MMORPGs on consoles are a niche anyway. If the demand for the game was high enough then Microsoft would probably drop that policy. Their audience aren't really big on Japanese themed games. It's a wonder how Final Fantasy sells decently at all on Xbox. @Lykos PSN does not lag for me. I don't really like PSN. But it does not lag for me.

@Lykos
PSN does not lag for me. I don't really like PSN. But it does not lag for me. Thank you for pointing that out. Final Fantasy XIII sold well on 360 because it is the first Final Fantasy game for next generation system and the first Final Fantasy game to appear on 360 (If you don't count XI Online). Same thing will happen to XV.
