Are there any cheap-yet-good PS3 mics?

Question in the title.

Preparing to buy a PS3. I'm being as cheap as possible without sacrificing much quality from my gaming experience.

I suggest going for a PS2 Eye-Toy under a tenner or less decent quality.

or a PSEye a little more expensive but excellent quality can be used a laptop mic aswell. (ive use one for my mic)
or the PS3 Bluetooth headset excellent quality as well never used one though

or PX21s for an expensive option.

Get the Pfficial Sony PS3 mic 2.0. Best PS3 mic out there.

Yeah its great, mine always runs out of battery in the middle of a game of bad company 2 though

Really? Do you have the first version, and not the newer one that just came out? Cause I have the first version and it lasts upward of 6 hours sometimes.

Just buy a cheap Bluetooth headset for like $20 or a wired headset that plugs into your PS3.

I noticed my EyeToy worked with the LittleBigPlanet demo for taking pictures but I didn't know it worked as a mic.. Are you sure?

The Official Sony Headset is the best, but most other headsets are fine. I use a $30 Plantronics headset and it works just fine.

I was asking if his PS3 registered it as a mic, I know it does cause mine worked when I used it.

How can I tell if it did register?

@Jub yeah i have the older model Sony headset, it does last a long time but its just an inconvenience having to charge it.

Well you can use the desktop mic feature while charging.
