Haha to be fair you have films that do all these... but I'll agree that these things are more gratuitous in comics.

And I actually have a copy of that Xmen comic. Didn't even mean to buy it. Was in a grab bag :)

I do like comics, but they're nowhere near film as far as actual storytelling and immersion goes. I also highly doubt they'll even get there for the next few years.

Though, comics are generally funnier and have better fight-scenes in general. They also seem to have more "WTF" moments in them. Like characters dying in stupid ways (Which happens with almost EVERY FUCKING SUPERHERO), only to be resurrected in an even stupider fashion.

I agree with Rambo here. I do prefer a good film, but man comics are awesome for realz.

Stuff like The Darkness has some fucked up gore and is great fun.

Also, I think my first comic was one of The Spectacular Spider-Man series' - can't remember which one, though - and it has also become my fav. comic book issue I've read.

IDK. It might not be because it's all THAT good, but man, the nostalgia is just fuckin' awesome.

I genuinely did not lol. That's the kind of humor that belongs in b-grade comic book movies. So the same applies to comics.

Hugo isn't a kids movie and I don't remember when I laughed at The Amazing Spider-Man aside from the Stan Lee cameo. And I didn't mean the humor in comics in general. I just meant the last one Mecha posted.

I always wondered, was Deadpool purposely created to look like Spiderman, or did the creators just get lazy?

Deadpool was made to look like Deathstoke, but it is possible that they made him look like Spider-Man as well.
