I don't 'get' smoking weed

I didn't write this but it's an article one of my mates shared on facebook and I have to say I agree entirely

I don't consider weed a drug, but people say the dumbest things when they try to justify it. I don't need weed to make me feel happy, smart, and funny. It's pretty shallow of people to think this way to be honest.

It's not a miracle drug but it is a lovely time. I partake every once in awhile, never more frequent than a couple of times a year.

I don't understand the american obsession with this shit.

As of now, with the year almost over, I've only done it a couple times. And your "too young to drink" argument is retarded. First of all, if I wanted to drink, I could. But I don't like alcohol. And are you really acting like you're superior for drinking alcohol, something monumentally more dangerous and poisonous?

But alcohol is just as easy to come by as weed is, for me at least. But again, I don't drink so it doesn't really matter.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. You're full grown adult now. If you wanted to, you could've had all the alcohol you wanted.

Honestly i don't care about people who smoke weed and i am in favor of legalizing it but it's clearly overglorified in America. I mean people act like it's the biggest politicial issue ever in america yet it's the last thing people should give a fuck about with their economy.

Still it's better than snorting up chemicals in your nose.

+new tax revenue
+new industry
+new jobs


and those are just the economical effects

just chiming in. i dont think it will solve EVERYTHING. but it would be a pretty nice step.

From personal experience.... Nothing is good if you do it all the time, but it's not harmful occasionally. Personally I found it to help me during my depression stages and after the first time I did it it removed my fear of death. I believe it can do the same for people who are dying or just suffer from depression. Regardless: I agree that it shouldn't be done all day every day because that's why I have such a shitty work history and never returned to college.
