Over the past couple of days, we've been learning more and more about Epic Games' final entry into the Gears of War trilogy, Gears of War 3. Most of the information has been about the highly anticipated beta -- I say most because we did get to see Gears of War 3's box art.
We've already learned that said beta will be launching sometime this April, and that there will, in total, be four maps from players to choose from -- two of maps have already been confirmed (Supermarket and Stadium) while the other two will be decided on Facebook.
Also, Epic Games' Rod Fergusson stated that there are more ways of getting into the beta aside from owning a copy of Bulletstorm Epic Edition. There's been a bit of confusion regarding this, as Bulletstorm's official Twitter account later said that you will need Epic Edition in your disc tray in order to access the beta. So what exactly is going on?
Well according to an information sheet of sorts released by Microsoft, all Xbox LIVE Gold members will be able to get into the Gears 3 beta in "mid April". Rod Fergusson then confirmed to his followers that Bulletstorm players will be getting a headstart.
So yes, all LIVE Gold members will be able to access the upcoming Gears of War 3 beta. How? That's still unknown. But it's been suggested that Gold members wanting to participate in the beta might need to sign-up on a special website. Also, it's possible that there will be a limited amount of players allowed onto said beta.
Interesting but why do they have to launch the beta when im having my final exams. >_>
