Wow that is spectacular. He's probably running it on a PC with specs that are similar to the rumored specs of the PS4/Nextbox.
I'm interested to see what framerate/resolution he is running this demo at. It's amazing but it's kind of choppy.

If next gen consoles look like this I'll be delighted, anyone know what hardware is running this?

how is this next gen graphics ?
its just a cryengine3 mod which some dude in his basement made using the engine .. its a little choppy could be his capture program when recording you do get a dip in performance
you can run this at the minimum specs of crysis 2 so basically nothing to see here move along
frostbite2 > cryengine3 : )

he must be getting 18 fps at places.... Not the best PC in the world and i also doubt Next gen graphics will all look this good.. We still have games this gen that look like PS2/Xbox games.
Even all these big mainstream games like CoD run at Sub HD resolutions

-Unless you're including the PS2 remakes, there are no games this gen that look like PS2/Xbox games.
-CoD runs sub-HD because it targets a v-synced 60 FPS with MSAA. Drop it down to 30 FPS and I'm sure it can run 720p+.
-Why do you doubt it will look as good? The leap from last gen to this gen was even bigger than that. Depending on the target resolution, I'm sure next gen technology can run those demo graphics at even higher framerates than the PC rig he's currently running it at. I remember people saying all those E3 tech demos for PS3/360 were all bull, but then surely enough 2-3 years into this generation the games looked just as good if not better.
-Don't be a PC elitest. If it wasn't for consoles the gaming industry would be dead right now and developers wouldn't have the money to build game engines like the CryEngine or Frostbite.

No the Gow 3 pic. You should have used a different screenshot because that one doesn't look very good.

Alan you talk about this ''next gen technology'' as if it only progresses when the new batch consoles come out with there updated hardware (which wont be that impressive) i can run this mod at a steady 60fps easily its a bunch of corridors 8) hey next gen is actually in febuary this year when the new gpus release :
oh and alan if it wasn't for pc there wouldn't be no games.. seeing as all games are made on pcs so don't start that BS

Yea but the console sales keep the gaming industry alive. PCs give birth to it but we provide the DNA to keep it moving. PCs are the vaginas in this instance.
