So i just downloaded the latest firmware for my PS3, andit didnt have any noticeable change. I googled the version number and its aparently some form of security firmware no doubt related to this whole hacking thing, and i've heard that if you on't download the patch then you cannot play online. Whats really been pissing me off though is theres alot of sad fucktards out there defending this douchebag GeoHot.

Now what people are saying is that he hacked the PS3 so you could once again have the Other OS option (linux) on your PS3, except for one minor detail....instead of just hacking it to the point where you could only install linux the little cunt basically busted the PS3 wide open and then had the uber-brainwave to make a cocky video showing people how to do it. And because of this some games like MW2 have been completely destroyed by fucking pricks running god mode and all sorts of shit, now to be honest i don't even play MW2 anymore but whats to say other games that i do play won't get the same treatment?

What really boils my piss though is these people defending GeoHots actions, like he is some sort of hero for hitting back at Sony for removing the Other OS, but what people fail to realise is that the Other OS feature was removed because Geohotz - The Cunt- was trying to hack the PS3 by using the Other OS feature, naturally Sony had to act to protect their investment and removed the Other OS to try and prevent any further hacking.

And LMAO at the people who got pissed at Other OS being removed....all five of them. They seriously paid several hundred dollars for a console to ue a feature that has been around on PC's for years?

Geohots excuse now is that since he paid for the PS3 he can do whatever he wants with it since he owns it, sorry sunshine but no you cant. If i bought an AR-15 in a gun shop does that mean i can just convert it to fire fully automatic? Can i soup up my car to the point its not street legal just because i bought it? Fail logic is fail.

This kid deserves to go to jail as do all hackers who exploit any platform, people work hard to buy these consoles/games and we end up losing features and the ability to play fair games because some hackers decide to be cunts, prepare for anal violation in jail GeoFag.

GeoHotz is a cuntface.His actions could ruin online play for us legit players. Unless Sony get this sorted, the online on PS3, potentially, could be royally fucked. And I'm so looking foward to Killzone 3.

Sony can't do anything no matter what firmware they put out. They have a master key which all homebrew will be read as signed by Sony.
All they can do now is to incorporate a filter system like VAC like Steam which prevents and bans online cheating and hacking instead of bringing out pointless firmware updates that do fuck all.

Well he has given everyone who bought the PS3 full ownership over it, even without the other OS feature it was only a matter of time, plus its MW2 like is wasn't shit before the hacks. Yes your're right they have left games like BC2, KILLZONE wipe open for hacking so they should be busy developing a system firmware that stops online hacking. but they release a firmware that does fuck all, like i said before.

I think your logic fails seeing as what he done was not illegal.

My view if Sony doesn't bring (or take) the features you want like BC, X-Game Chat, Linux and Emulators... why not make it yourself ? would you also disagree to mods ....?
His CF didn't allow piracy - you could say that about used games as no money goes to the devs who do the hard work and yet it's legal.

One thing is hacking it for personal entertainment or interest.
But for releasing this hack online for everyone to take advantage of and ruin things for everyone else, that's just too far. This guy's a bell-end.
