First look at the cast of Power Rangers!

Never watched Power Rangers as a kid, so I don't know what to think of this.

I grew up with Powers Rangers, but then I grew out of it because it was just so cheesy. Yes, the same can be said for TMNT as well. Difference is though, TMNT is a cartoon and a satire of Marvel comics. Power Rangers however, is just plain cheesy as fuck! Except for Super Sentai (A.K.A. The REAL Power Rangers), though.

Is Super Sentai tokusatsu? Because I've always been interested in that type of thing, but there's so many of them that I don't know where to start.

I think so. I've watched a couple of episodes of Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger (which is where Mighty Morphin Power Rangers gets a lot of it's footage from), and the series is a lot better than Power Rangers. I mean, the story is just a lot better and is taken a lot more seriously. Where as the creators of Power Rangers were limited to what they can do with the story, due to the certain amount of footage that they could use. I just hope the tone for this new Power Rangers reboot is closer to Super Sentai than the "original" Power Rangers.
