The Lord of the Rings vs. Star Wars

Lord of The Rings. No doubt about that.

Gotta go with LOTR.

Star Wars as a whole? Or just the original trilogy? Or the prequels?

Even if you ignore the bad films of the star wars Lord of the Rings beats it by a mile.

I mean for a start, Lord of the Rings is more emotional, it's more powerful, it's more epic, it's grander, it's brutal, it's touching, it's more romantic, it's sometimes funnier... just everything about it is better.

But Star Wars prequels are still very good films, just nowhere near as good.

Star Wars.... I tried watching LoTR but I found it boring. While Star Wars (especially the original 3) were fun films.

I'll give it another chance, but only because when I watched it, it was on TV and I think having commercials made the movie even more boring.

I feel like I cared more about the LOTR characters than the Star Wars characters. Some star wars characters were just... shallow...

Star Wars, because I don't fall the fuck to sleep watching it.

Because of Baba Fett's slapstick death, LotR wins this one.

Still Star Wars. Lord of the Rings is just dragged the fuck out. The film literally could have cut out 30 minutes and most of that time would have been landscape shots.
