| I'm surprised people here aren't talking about this game. If you couldn't tell, I love this game. The fun part about it is that there are so many different ways you can play through the game. No one can finish a mission the same way twice. you're always looking for something new to try. So if you don't have this game, and you love Deus Ex and Bioshock, PICK THIS GAME UP NOW!

| Actually I beat this game 2 days ago and was gonna make a thread about it but was too lazy. The game is phenomenal. Except for the first level the game is completely non-linear and every level is a sandbox. It's extremely refreshing to play. I started replaying the levels, I'm on the second level and there is a bunch of stuff I missed. The first few levels I played like any other shooter just killing everyone but when I realized that would have consequences I changed to a stealth style and I went through the rest of the game rarely killing anyone other than key targets (whom you didn't have to kill I realized too late...) and had a few accidental deaths (like one guard I knocked out and tried to hide by dropping his body on a lower platform). - Spoiler:
I think the ending I got was a neutral ending. Samuel told me he was disappointed in me after dropping me off and my brother told me that Samuel told him "he was the worst of them all" and fired his pistol after dropping him off to alert the guards. Emily drew some pretty dark pictures though lol, there was one where carvo had his sword out and was standing above a bunch of dead bodies. It was the first 2 levels mostly the made me seem kinda bad, but I also went all out in the flooded district. I'm not sure if they matter though? I can understand killing the guards is wrong, they are just doing their job and being loyal to their kingdom ignorant of the involvement of the Lord Regent in the Empress' assassination. In the flooded district it was just assassins I killed.
I'm curious which lady Boyle did you kill or give to lord Bigsby? I killed Esma, if you use the heart on Bisby it tells you he just wants the Boyle inheritance. I restarted that level several times thinking I got the wrong chick, and it seemed like each time they told me a different boyle was wearing a color. For example the first time I played I learned that Waverly was in the white dress and the rest of the time it was Esma. The first time Bigsby told me to kidnap Lydia and then he told me Esma...Also in Lydia's diary it said that she wanted to have sex with a musician I tried playing the piano thing but nothing happened?
OH YEAH, if you use the heart on Havelock it tells you he just wants power or something like that so I expected his betrayal eventually. Kinda lame how you can't seem to do anything about it though. Another thing...I thought it was really strange how Pendelton died in my game, he was shot by a stray bullet from Martin.That happen to anyone else? I'm thinking that next time I play that level I'll try taking out Martin before he fires that shot.
The main thing I disliked about the game were the tallboys. I couldn't figure out a way to quietly dispose of them and had to keep reloading saves and shit trying to sneak around them... Have you been replaying the game? So far it seems like I just have the equipment I had when I started that level the first time. Kinda like in Metro 2033 when you replay a level. Do the bone charms and runes you collect become available in later levels? Also Metro 2033 is also a similar game to Dishonered. So if you like that you'll like this. | |

| I'm thinking about getting this game, i heard it's more of a game of trial and error. Atleast if you want to play a certain way. |
