I don't buy a console for chatting, I buy a console for the games. Even if PS3 had crossgame chat I still wouldn't use it, because I would want people to STFU while I'm playing.
I guess people love to brag about crossgame chat because their console doesn't offer much in terms of games. So it's the only worth getting the console for, but for me, the exclusives is where it's at.

If ps3 had xchat you would use it for sure, i thought i wouldn't want it either, till i played xbox live for 3 months, i used it just about every time i played online.
Very useful, tho not as important as games, i agree on that.

Lol @ this thread, I thought console wars were over? Obviously not for you lot. Personally for me the console of choice for me is Xbox yes I pay for certain features and it has a lot of flaws but its the best system I've had I've play lots and lots of games and the best and funniest and amazing times I've ever had has been on Xbox live. So all them little flaws and prices are completely irrelevant. Also the ps3 is without its flaws, which I also own, I just don't use as nearly as much, but again who cares its just a matter of opinion.
