Everything bar the FPS view looks AMAZING. His arms and gun design look sub par compared the rest of it.

No chance. It was running on 3, yes 3, GTX 560 graphics cards. They are worth $500 alone. That's 1500 big ones.

I guess this is just a thing to push the story. As IGN Rewind said, there will be stages during the campaign when you make the commands of the others in the squad when they should move.
