Marvel has more iconic characters. However the two most famous characters belong to DC. Those being Batman and Superman.

Yeah but he's not ACTUALLY a god. The Marvel Universe makes it very clear that science and magic are one and the same so Thor is really just a powerful extraterrestrial and not magically divine in any way.

I think Iron Man could beat Batman.

I don't think Batman and Iron Man would go at it in a JLA vs Avengers. It'll be more likely that cyborg goes after iron man and bats would battle cap again.

But if they did, IronMan would win. Consider the fact they're both rich millionaire playboys with awesome technology. The winning factor for IronMan is that his suit is significantly better than Batman's. Just saiyan.

Not really, Batman thinks very quickly on his feet. He can find a way to disable the suit in some fashion and from there he can take down Iron Man, since without the suit he's practically just a man.
