Whether you like The Amazing Spider-Man or not, it's still a pretty successful film. Both critically and financially. So I wouldn't call it a failed adaptation.

Also people should know by now that Spider-Man isn't an Avenger.

TASM was good. Don't see why it was so hated.

It's not "good", it's pretty darn lazy and average. Nothing stood out as special or something I hadn't seen before in any way possible.
