- Last week, Ubisoft said that it was planning to release a major patch to fix many ongoing problems with Assassin's Creed Unity today—as in Monday, December 15th. Now, the developers have announced via their live updates page, "we are choosing to hold off until we can give you the improvements we've promised."
The highly anticipated Patch 4's indefinite delay highlights Ubisoft's ongoing struggle in trying to get Assassin's Creed Unity up and running properly ever since the game came out exclusively for new-gen consoles and PC last month. The developer has already addressed Unity's technical problems with several major patches, and even said it was giving players some of the game's DLC for free as an apology of sorts. Sorry about the source. AC:U just looks like a pile of shit at this point. Should not have been released.

| What a mess. Shame on the people who bought the game. I hope this franchise turn into the next Guitar Hero. | |

It's already been CODified. I wouldn't be surprised if it did. It's a shame, since I actually enjoyed playing brotherhood.

| Meh, I don't care about AC anymore. This game should have never been released this year, or anytime soon. It's a great game on paper, but the developers clearly rushed the game to get it out in time for the holiday season. It's a buggy, broken piece of shit that no one should buy, and we as gamers should protest monstrosities like this. There's no excuse for a next-gen game to be running at a shaky 20 FPS or lower. The game was virtually unplayable on launch day. Ubisoft delaying their patches for this game just proves they are incompetent ignorant fucks. Fuck 'em. | |

Yeah, they never should have made it an annual release. I'd rather they take 2-3 times as long to finish it and do it right, than release a broken PoS.

Yeah, they never should have made it an annual release. I'd rather they take 2-3 times as long to finish it and do it right, than release a broken PoS. The thing is though, Ubisoft doesn't care. They know that they can release a broken and buggy PoS because there are plenty of hardcore AC fans who will buy it yearly, just for having the AC logo slapped on to it. They even released two AC games this year, for christ's sakes. (I heard that AC: Rogue was quite decent though)

| The game itself still has a number of horrible glitches and awful glitches, not to mention the story and gameplay is just boring and repetitive. | |

I have since gone back to this and MAN it's good. Easily the best Assassins Creed game in terms of gameplay feel and mechanics - the parkour system at its absolute best and most intricate! Also in terms of world design and detail, plus the sheer amount of crowds... basically the ultimate Assassins Creed experience. Just not so much in terms of story, and also hindered by bugs and performance (not so much since patches).

Agreed. The pirate gameplay in Black Flag is still the best Assassin's Creed to date. Though I do have a soft spot for Ezio Auditore... Nod at the bird and people die, everywhere people die.
